Angela Kay Rodgers
October 4, 1970 – July 7, 2025
Angela Kay Rodgers, age 54, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Jacksonville, Texas, on July 7, 2025. Born in Long Beach, California, on October 4, 1970, Angela brought warmth, strength, and a vibrant spirit into the lives of everyone who knew her.
Angela was a woman of many talents and passions. She studied phlebotomy, cosmetology, and floral design—always pursuing creative and hands-on ways to care for others. While she spent some time as a hairdresser and worked at the Box Factory in Frankston, as well as several convenience stores, her most important role was that of a stay-at-home mom—a role she embraced with her whole heart.
She loved the simple joys of life: riding on the back of a Harley, writing poetry, cutting hair, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Angela had a big personality and a bigger heart. In her younger years, she loved to go out dancing, have a good time, and enjoy life to the fullest. She also found peace in her faith, reading her Bible each night before bed.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Roberta and James Hardy, and her nephew, Stetson Hoskins.
She is survived by her beloved ex-husband, Gregory Rodgers; daughter Ashley Waggoner and son-in-law Derick Waggoner; sons Codey Rodgers and Justin Rodgers, and daughter-in-law Crystina Rodgers; and stepdaughter Demeka Rodgers. She is also survived by her brothers Jody, Jamie, and Robby Hardy, and her sister Elizabeth Waller; 12 cherished grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Angela’s life was full of love, laughter, and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, honesty, and unforgettable memories. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
