04/10/1939-11/03/2020
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our loved one. The patriarch of the Guillen family of Jacksonville, Texas has gone on to be with his lovely wife Lupe Guillen in heaven. He fought many health battles over the years and kept positive spirits through them all. On November 3rd, 2020 at the age of 81, he fought his final battle.
To his children he was Daddy. To his grandchildren he was Pepaw. Others knew him as Mr.Tony or Mr.Guillen
It brings us comfort to know he is dancing again with his bride and surrounded by his family of angels.
He was born on April 10, 1939 in Madisonville, Tx.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lupe, his parents Pedro Guillen Sr and Ramona Gonzales, several sisters and his brothers.
He is survived by his children and spouses; Mary and Mario Trujillo of Jacksonville, Tx; Tony Guillen Jr of Jacksonville, Tx; Norma and Javier Duran of Dallas, Tx; Pete and Elisa Guillen of Jacksonville, Tx; Bobby Guillen of Jacksonville, Tx, Randy and Janet Guillen of Jacksonville, Tx; Billy and Ernestina Guillen of Jacksonville, Tx; Danny and Angela Guillen of Jacksonville, Tx
39 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, his sisters, several nieces and nephews
He would always stop to talk with you even if that meant a conversation in his truck with his truck running or even a simple hello and wave from the porch.
He will be remembered by many because of his witty sense of humor but yet strong character. He was able to balance the two and won over the hearts of many that came in contact with him. From dusk to dawn he was a man that never stopped working. His strong work ethic led him to build his own fencing company from an early age which through the years he passed on his talents to his son's and grandchildren to continue his legacy. No job was ever too small for him and no job ever too big for he knew his sons would get it done just as he had taught them. His two daughters were always his precious pride and joy. He raised both daughters to be strong and courageous just like him.
Tony was a faithful believer. He had a passion and love for the Lord. He attended Sunday services with his wife Lupe before she passed and continued attending every Sunday service thereafter. He always looked forward to getting his clothes pressed, starched and picked up from the cleaners because that meant he’d always be ready and in his Sunday best. No Sunday could ever get started until he attended church first. God first is what he would say.
All children always gravitated towards Pepaw. He was was always happy to see his grandchildren. He had his own special and unique nickname he picked out for just about every single grandchild. Each and every single one can tell you a story of how he made them laugh and made them feel loved. He’d get so excited to hear and see his grandchildren running around or giving him hugs. If you loved on him, he loved on you double.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Your strength, love, resilience and compassion you shared will live on through all of your family. We will make sure your legacy is always remembered and honored.
