Services for Austin Robert Koziol are scheduled for Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, TX with Rabbi Michael Wallace officiating. Austin was born in Tyler on November 3, 1997, to Ronald Lee Koziol and Christine O’Neill Koziol. He passed away, following an accident, in Grand Forks North Dakota on May 27, 2022.
Austin was a 2016 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. Austin was a husband, son, brother and father. Being a father was his favorite role. He was devoted to his sons and loved spending time with them participating in outdoor activities. He was always at home outdoors either hiking, camping, or biking. Austin was blessed with an engineer’s mindset with a desire for order, innovation and problem solving, traits he developed at an early age. If he wasn’t outside, one of his favorite pastimes was playing chess. He had also recently gained an interest in gourmet cooking and was looking forward to beginning a new career path. He was in the middle of Culinary Arts training at the time of his passing.
Austin is survived by his wife Angelica Koziol, twin sons Mikah and Asher and another child on the way all of Grand Forks, North Dakota; father, Ron Koziol, Tyler; brother, Anthony Koziol, Tyler; sister, Morgan Koziol, Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves behind numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins from Tyler and Chicago. He was preceded in death by his mother.
