Betty Pemberton, born May 18, 1958 age 64 of Laneville, TX died tragically approximately August 2, 2022. Betty was born in Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO and was the 3rd child to the late Thurman Rowland of Hurt, VA and Doris Fischer Rowland from Heilbronn, Gmb.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Nichols of Laneville, TX, Ulrike “Ricki” Mattox of Hurt, VA and brothers, Randy Rowland and Richard Rowland of Gretna, VA as well as nieces, nephews and on grandnephew she loved dearly.
She was a lifelong hard worker. She worked in the tobacco fields at age 13 and at age 18, she worked in the local factories making appliance motors, furniture and clothing. Her last job was Front End Manager at the Piggley Wiggley in Tuscaloosa, AL. Throughout her life, when she worked a job, she gave everything. Betty lastly served as volunteer for Hungry Hearts Ministry in Henderson TX.
Aside from her family, Betty also loved NASCAR, Alabama football, politics and Judge Judy.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at New Life Church in Henderson, TX on August 27, at 12:00 pm with visitation prior to the service from 11 am to 12 pm.
