Bob Allen Spradley, 85, of Whitehouse, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held at Boren-Conner Funeral home in Bullard, Thursday evening, August 27, 2026, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. All are invited to come visit with family to share their condolences and memories.
Bob was born in Deadwood, Texas, on July 12, 1941, to parents Joe and Frankie Spradley. Bob graduated from Carthage High School, and Panola Jr. College at which time he met and married Barbara Boyd in 1963. They had one child Donna Mackey in 1965. He retired in 1995 from Texas Utilities Mining Company, supervising land reconciliation. Bob was a hard worker, dedicated employee, and very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Bob was a member of First Baptist Church of Bullard, and had great love for his family and friends, which he consistently called on. He enjoyed fishing, raising a garden, playing dominoes, fellowship over coffee, and possessed a remarkable sense of humor and a great passion for storytelling.
Bob was proceeded in death by his loving wife Barbara, and his sister Joan Rhodes.
Bob is survived by his daughter Donna Mackey and her husband Derek, grandchildren Ethan Mackey and wife Emily, granddaughter Audrey Mackey, great grandchildren Ella and Amelia Mackey and many nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
