Bonnie Irene Brewer Capello

Bonnie Irene Brewer Capello, 86, of Buffalo, TX passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 21, 2023. She was born on October 1, 1936 in Rogers, KY to Stanley S. and Susan Ella Adams Brewer. Her birth certificate simply says Lee County, because she was delivered on a boat on the way to the hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas D Capello; her parents; Stanley & Ella Brewer; her brother, Stanley Maynard Brewer; her sisters, Clara Lee Brewer Clemons & Joan Brewer Murray.

Bonnie loved life! She enjoyed cheerleading in high school and college. She met Tommy while on the same cheerleading squad in college. She graduated in 1957 from Lamar University with honors, academic awards, and a degree in both Education and Home Economics. She taught school for many years and thoroughly enjoyed doing things for her family and friends. She loved to sew (even making her wedding dress), bake, and garden. She could grow anything! She had two green thumbs. She lived her life by Bible principles, especially the one in 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Be steadfast, immovable, always having plenty to do in the work of the Lord.” Much of her life was spent teaching people about the Bible promises that touched her heart.

Bonnie is survived by her children; Karla (Capello) & Art Morgan, Kindell (Capello) & Ed McCann; Kyle & Janette Capello; Kortney & Tammy Capello; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family and many spiritual children and extended family.

The Family wishes to thank ALL the friends who helped lovingly care for Mom and the support and loving care Hospice gave Mom over the past few years.

A memorial service will be held at the Buffalo Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1518 N Buffalo Ave, Buffalo, TX on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2 P.M. CST.

Bonnie loved flowers, but she isn’t here to enjoy them. She preferred that in lieu of flowers, any donations would go to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses ‘at Donate.jw.org’ to benefit others in need.
