Carroll Gresham

Carroll Gresham, 93, of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday evening, August 16, 2026. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026, at First Methodist Church of Jacksonville, to begin at 11:00am. A visitation will begin at 10:00am prior to the service at the church. Reverend Patrick Evans will officiate the service under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery following the service. The United States Maine Corps and the Marine Corps League of Jacksonville will be in attendance to present military honors.

Carroll was born in Sacul, Texas, on July 8, 1933, to Nolan Newton Gresham and Minnie Ethel Gresham. Carroll was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps – a pride that was obvious in every facet of his life. Carroll was always polite, on time, courteous, self-reliant, and in service to his community. Carroll married the love of his life Mildred Marie – and together they created a beautiful life and family. Carroll was a hard worker – who worked hard for his wife, family, and employers. Carroll worked as a retail store manager and buyer for the JB White Company for most of his early career. Carroll volunteered much time with the Marine Corps League of Jacksonville, donating time in honor of veterans. Carroll loved his life, family, and community – and he will be missed by all.

Carroll is preceded by his Father, Nolan Newton Gresham, Mother, Minnie Ethel Gresham, Wife, Mildred Marie Gresham, Sister, Ruth Gresham Rutledge, and Sister, Delores Gresham.

Carroll is survived by his Daughter, Linda Gresham Brown (Morgan), Son, Daughter, Debra Kay Gresham, William Nolan Gresham, Son, Richard Carroll Gresham (Katie), Brother, Harold Don Gresham (Nita), Grandson, Kevin Robert Brown, Grandson, Jason Daniel Brown (Michael K. Johnson), Grandson, Christopher Robin Chambers (Jennifer Michelle Hulstine-Chambers), Grandson, Marc Sterling Gresham, Grandson, Joseph Ray Gresham, Grandson, Dylan Keith Gresham, Granddaughter, Natasha V. Gresham, Granddaughter, Cheyenne Nicole Gresham (Chad Anthony Nations), Great-granddaughter, Stevie Maeson Gresham, Great-grandson, Clay Anthony Nations, Great-granddaughter, Layla Avery Ainsworth, Great-granddaughter, Lennon Bailey Ainsworth, and Great-granddaughter, Murphy Alice Cook.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Brown, Jason Brown, Christopher Chambers, Marc Gresham, Morgan Brown, and Michael Johnson.
