Clifton Batton, 87, of Flint, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday afternoon, April 18, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, to begin at 2:00pm. A visition will begin at 1:00pm, at the Funeral Home on Friday, prior to the service. Interment will be at at Antioch Cemetery.

Clifton was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on March 12, 1938, to parents Roy and Merle Batton. Clifton was a Long-Haul Truck Driver all his life - a profession that he thoroughly enjoyed. He was proudly honored as a Master Mason for more than 50-year, in August of 2023 from the Grand Lodge of Texas. He served his country proudly as an Air Force veteran. Clifton was a devoted and loving father, son, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

Clifton is preceded by his Father, Roy Batton, Mother, Merle Slider Batton, Son, Heath Batton, Sister, Patsy Williams, and Grandson, Blake Batton, and Rookie (the previous boxer)

He is survived by his Wife, Mattie Lou Batton, Son, Gary Batton (Tori), Son, Terry Batton (Piper), Sister, Elsie Grimes, Grandson, Trevor Batton (Micah), Great-granddaughters, Brooklynn & Dezzie Batton and beloved his beloved Brutus (the boxer).
