Clifton Wayne Lynch, age 76, passed away on December 28, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1949, to Opal Louise Day and O.V. Clifton Lynch, and lived a life defined by strength, determination, and dedication to his family.
Clifton was first and foremost a devoted father and grandfather. He had a tremendous love for his girls, and he was most proud to be their dad. His love for his family was constant, unconditional, and evident in everything he did.
Known by many names—Dad, PawPaw, Uncle Bubba, Clifton, or Cliff—he was the same feisty, strong-willed man to all who knew him. Clifton fought to live his life to the fullest until the very end, never backing down and always standing firm in who he was.
A true jack of all trades, Clifton could fix just about anything—from home repairs to engines. He had every tool imaginable and the knowledge to use them. His willingness to help and his problem-solving nature made him someone others could always count on.
Clifton also found great enjoyment in horseback riding and spent many years as a proud member of a riding club. The time he spent riding brought him happiness and many cherished friendships.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Karen, whom he often spoke of and missed dearly; his parents, Opal Louise Day and O.V. Clifton Lynch; and his sisters, Pat Weldon and Linda Graves.
Clifton’s legacy lives on through his daughters, Julie Terhune and her husband Chris, and Jamie Row and her husband Jimmy; his cherished grandchildren, Colton, Jake, Jessica, Baylie, and Cutler; and his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Clifton will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strong work ethic, his helping hands, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In keeping with Clifton’s wishes, the family will have a private family gathering to celebrate his life.
