Connie Ruth Greer, 73, of Troup, TX, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at home with family by her side.  She lost her battle with cancer and was called home.  Connie was born on July 9, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois to Merle Eugene Martin and Marie Josephine Rebecca.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and woman of faith, who loved the Lord, Jesus Christ with all of her heart.  She is survived by her daughters Christina M. Bonkowske (Scott), Danielle L. Helwig (Rob), Corina A. Gregory (Frank), 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her brother Terry E. Martin and her sister Carolyn S. Brady.  She will truly be forever missed.
