Donna Juanita Flowers Walton was born to the late Jeanetta Flowers and Linzell “Jack” Carpenter on August 15,1955 in Tyler, TX. She became a member of North Star Baptist Church which was founded by her great grandfather, the late Michael Bates Preston, at an early age. She graduated from John Tyler High School in 1973. 

Donna was employed by Colonial Manor Nursing Home for over 25 years where she worked in several departments and was known for her kindness, work ethic and commitment, not only to her job, but to her co-workers and residents as well. In October 2021 she joined Hospitality ER, displaying the same dedication and remarkable work characteristics and remained there until her untimely passing.  

Donna was the oldest of six children and had no problem keeping her siblings in order. She has one daughter with whom she shared a very special bond. She was a mama bear who protected her cub, no matter how old her cub was.  If you ever had the pleasure to visit her home, you know it looked like it was staged for a magazine photo shoot . She loved to thrift shop and spend time with her great granddaughter who she loved dearly. 

On July 10th Donna departed this life to enter eternal rest. Anticipating her arrival was her mother, Jeanetta Flowers, sister Brenda Phillips and Grandmother, Justine Preston Biggs. 

Donna is survived by her daughter, T’Monika Walton; Father Linzell “Jack” Carpenter; Grandsons T’obias and T’Otrick Humber; Great granddaughter Rayah Walton; Siblings Sharon, Byron (Darlene), Michael (Cassandra), Raymond Flowers, Sherrie (Jimmy), Kevin (Angela) Carpenter, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also left to cherish her memory are lifelong friends Bobbie Hunter, Rena Whitmill and Sharon Clayton.
