Funeral Services for Dorothy Hughes Langston, 75, of Bullard, will be held Friday March 13, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard with Bro. Roy Thoene and Bro. Tyson Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Langston passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
Dorothy met the love of her life, John E. Langston "Bub" as only she called him. They were married on Aug. 16, 1957. John and Dorothy's marriage of 57 years was a wonderful partnership of true love. They lived most of their married life in Bullard. After retirement, they enjoyed many good times together with friends and family. They traveled often, loved to hunt and fish. Funny and beautiful memories were made.
Dorothy was a beautiful lady inside and out, and her friendliness, clever sense of humor and fun-loving spirit made her a beloved "life of the party." Her family and friends treasure their memories of good times together with her. Laughter always filled the room when she was there.
Mrs. Langston was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth Hughes; two brothers, Alan and Eugene Hughes; sister, Eleanor Hughes; and several aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Langston is survived by her loving husband, John, of Bullard; mother-in-law, Susie Langston, of Palestine; sons, Alan Langston and wife Denise, of Mixon, Jerry Langston and wife Carolyn, of Bullard; daughter, Nancy Welmaker and husband Darryl, of Bullard; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hughes, of Bullard
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brandon Langston, Brian Langston, Paxton Langston, Jake Langston, Jonathan Welmaker and Jeremy Welmaker.
