Edwin Walker, Jr., known by many as "Cowboy" passed away in God's grace from the earthly consequences of a long life at the age of 94 on March 1, 2022. Born May 20, 1927 in Paducah, Texas Edwin is preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Colleen Walker, his parents Edwin Walker and Ruth Howell Walker, 7 siblings, one great grandchild, and a son-in-law. Edwin is survived by his six children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Edwin grew up the child of an itinerate crop gathering laborer in the 1930's. He worked many jobs during his life: tug boat captain, laying flooring & tile, truck driver, wrecker driver, longshoreman and tankerman among them. He also served 2 years in the Army of Occupation, World War II. He had a great love of horses during his life. Working outdoors later in life brought him many satisfying hours. He was a hard man because he was given a hard lot in life as a very young child. Like some do, he drifted from the Lord during part of his life. In his last days, in weakness of body, he asked for help in raising his arms in praise to his Heavenly Father. He was the head of this earthly family. He is a child of the Lord God Almighty.
