Frances Rose Rodgers was born on August 21, 1928 in Salem, Kentucky, the daughter of Freeman Hayden and Abbey Bell Cobb.  She passed away February 29, 2020.  She resided in Jacksonville, TX most of her adult life.  She lived and resided with her two daughters the last few years who helped grant her wish to pass peacefully in her sleep at home. 

Frances was married to Harls Dewitt Rodgers on July 15, 1948, and they spent 44 years together until his death in 1993.  She was blessed to be the mother of three wonderful children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.  She was happiest when surrounded by her family.  She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, dancing, puzzles, coloring and cooking for her family.  She always made sure no one ever left her house hungry. 

Frances is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sue Rodgers of Flint, TX; her son, Harls Wayne Rodgers and wife Sarah Joalyce of Garland, TX; her daughter, Pamela Joyce Rodgers of Flint, TX; her grandchildren, Dustin Hill of Bakersfield, CA; Wayne Rodgers Jr. and wife Kate of Lantana, TX; Lauren Belcher and husband Steve of Dallas, TX; Matthew Pirtle and wife Cathy of Tyler, TX; and Jamie Pirtle of Frisco, TX. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harls Dewitt Rodgers; her sisters, Sue Cobb, Frieda Rice, Martha Bollengier, Demareta Esposito; and brothers, Bucky Cobb and Ty Cobb.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 3/5/2020 to begin at 2pm at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard. A visitation will be held on Thursday at 1pm prior to the service at Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Bullard Memorial Cemetery.
