Gail Christene Hardison Byrd went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Gail was born on March 28, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived in many different places but made Tyler her home in 2001. She was a talented organist and pianist and her ability to crochet was superb! She loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren, and she enjoyed gardening and listening to music.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents,
Garland and Betty Hardison, her brother, Gary Hardison, and her two sons, Shawn and Brian Dockery. She is survived by four daughters: Leigh Anne Magers (Brien) of Tyler, Amy Smith of Toledo, Washington, Jessica Baylor of Crowley, and Stephanie Darden (Alex) of Tyler. She is also survived by 12 beloved grandchildren: Taylor (Luda), Mason and Preston Magers, Josiah and Sunni Smith, Jude Byrd, Shawna Cooley, Blair Baylor, Kingston and Camilla Baylor, Nellie Darden, and 4 great grandchildren Avelyn, O’Brien, and Mila Magers and Bristol Cooley. Gail is also survived by her brother, David Hardison of Aledo, Texas.
A memorial service, led by Brother Roy Thoene, will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, Texas - with a visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
