Gerald “Jerry” Edward Waldon of New London, TX went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 11, 2026, at the age of 73.

Jerry was born August 11, 1953, in Houston, TX to the late Edward Leon Waldon and Robbie Jean Ham. He grew up in and attended public school in Center where he graduated with the class of 1971. He had several careers throughout his life retiring as a real estate broker.

Jerry was a wonderful person. He never knew a stranger and helped people with all that he had. His faith in Jesus was powerful and unwavering. He loved sharing the Gospel with family and friends and was devoted to his church First Apostolic Church of Dialville in Rusk, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his devoted wife Maxine who was the love of his life. Maxine passed away on September 11, 2025. It is fitting that they passed on the same date a year apart.

Jerry is survived by his beloved sons, Justin and Eric Waldon, both of New London. His sons were the lights of his world. He was devoted to their care and wellbeing. He is also survived by his brother Terry Allen Waldon and his wife Dotti Waldon who both took care of and advocated for Jerry’s care. Stepsons Grant (wife Elvira) and James Craig, stepdaughter Kelly (husband Gregory) Watson, grandchildren Brittany Keith, Destiny Keith, and Jason (wife Devine) Keith, as well as eight step grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and many other extended family and friends.

Jerry, you will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.

Memorial service will be held Saturday September 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. at First Apostolic Church of Dailville, 1408 County Road 1608, Rusk, TX 75785.
