Glenn Allen Bourque was truly one of a kind. He lived with a unique flavor for life, loved people deeply, and had a remarkable way of making everyone around him feel lighter. His life was marked by unwavering faith, a heart for serving others, and the ability to lift the atmosphere of a room just by walking in it.

Born on June 5, 1951, in Jacksonville, Texas, to George and Judy Bourque, Glenn lived a life of purpose and adventure. He served as an EMT, owned an ambulance company and later Glenn Bourque Construction, but no matter his profession, his calling was always to serve others.

Faith was the foundation of Glenn's life. For more than 12 years, he pastored Michael Metro Church at the Michael Unit in Teaselville, Texas, and later co-pastored A Gathering Place in Coffee City with his wife, Kayellen, alongside family friends Carlton and Deborah Edwards. His ministry centered on what he called "living the standard"—pursuing a life of righteousness, integrity, and unwavering devotion to Christ.

Gifted with an exceptional mind and endless creativity, Glenn could solve almost any problem and loved encouraging his children through inventive ideas and thoughtful acts. His adventurous spirit also led him to serve as a Cherokee County Deputy Sheriff, Police Chaplain, Mayor Pro Tem, volunteer firefighter, and EMT for Coffee City. Whether responding to an emergency or simply helping a stranger, serving others was second nature.

Music remained one of Glenn's greatest joys. As a young man, he pursued country music and even shared the stage with Willie Nelson, whose borrowed guitar became one of Glenn's favorite stories and treasured keepsakes. He also loved making people laugh, often without even trying, and his wit and warmth became hallmarks of every family gathering.

Glenn is survived by his beloved wife, Kayellen Bourque; his daughter, Katy Elizabeth Wilburn (Mark); his son, Joshua Glenn Bourque (Lauren); his grandchildren, Maverick, Blaze, Phoenix, Zephaniah, Taelyn, Everest, and Banks; his sister, Victoria Mirimanian (Mark); his stepmother, Pamela Bourque; his extended family; and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jewel Faye Bourque, and his brother-in-law, Michael Fall.

Glenn's legacy of faith, love, and sacrifice lives on in the countless lives he touched, and his call to "live the standard" will continue to challenge and inspire all who knew him.
