Janet Lee Blakeney, 66, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, to begin at 1:00pm. David Byrd and Kinsey Wilk will officiate the service.

Janet was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on July 10, 1958, to parents Carl and Evelyn Byrd. Janet was a receptionist at Cherokee Title. Janet was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. 

Janet was preceded by her Father, Carl Austin Byrd, Mother, Evelyn Lorene Byrd, Husband, David Evan Blakeney, Sister, Katherine Byrd, and Brother, James Byrd.

She is survived by Son, David Willis Byrd (Natalie) of Palestine, Daughter, Beth Mays (Ryan) of Magnolia, Daughter, Amber Blakeney (Ricky Martin) of Troup, Sister, Carla Byrd of Jacksonville, Sister-in-law, Patty Byrd, Grandchild, Allyson James (WIll) of Palestine, Grandchild, Kinsey Wilk of Magnolia, Grandchild, Kellen Mays of Magnolia, Grandchild, Harper Blakeney of Troup, Nephew, Jamie Byrd, Nephew, Anthony Byrd, Nephew, Daniel Green, and Nephew, William Morgan.

Janet loved and adored her grandchildren and the many animals who filled her life.
