Janice Kay Dockery Basile, passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on Saturday April 9, 2022 at Hospice of East Texas, Tyler TX. Born to Harvey A. Dockery and Betty Joyce Foster, on August 3, 1953 in Lubbock, TX.

She is survived by her three children, Jason Wayne Hardison (48), Amanda Julie Hardison (44), and David Foster Hardison (35). Besides her children,  Janice was survived by her two grandchildren,  Shane Christopher Hardison and Ethan Alexander Hardison, her three great grandchildren,  her brother, Ennis Dockery, sister, Kathy Oldham, and numerous nieces and nephews. As well as her loyal dog, Holly.

One of seven siblings, Janice was part of a large family whom she loved dearly. Family was very important to her. Besides being a loving mother, grandmother,  and sister, she was also a loving and cherished aunt, cousin, and daughter. She had a huge heart and was always there for her loved ones. She lived her life in such a way as to be a great example to her children. She had the purest heart, a fun and silly sense of humor, and a strong moral compass. Those of us who were blessed to know her will miss her enormously and will forever be grateful she was part of our lives.

A memorial service for Janice will be held at Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler, TX on April 13, 2022, at 11:00am.
