Jerry Don Berry

Memorial services for Jerry Don Berry, 85, of Maydelle TX  will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025  Visitation at 9:00 A.M. Services at 10:00 A.M. officiated by Brother Gary Williams, followed by a private graveside for the family at Union Grove Cemetery, officiated by Brother Calvin Gould. 

Jerry Don Berry, age 85, of Maydelle, Texas, went home to be with the Lord March 1st., 2025 in his home surrounded by his family. Born to Alvin and Vivian Berry on July 7, 1939, Jerry Don lived a life full of faith, love, and service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his unwavering commitment to his family, church, and community.

Jerry Don worked for over 25 years with TXU, formerly known as Texas Power and Light, where he was well-respected by his colleagues and made lifelong friends. He was a member of Holleyman Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served and grew in his relationship with Jesus Christ, whom he accepted as his Lord and Savior. Jerry Don’s strong faith was a guiding force in his life, and he lived every day with purpose, reflecting the values he held dear.

He was known for his love of politics, keeping up with current events, and for being an avid fisherman in his younger years. Jerry Don was a man of integrity, always standing firm in his beliefs.

Jerry Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy Ruth Berry, his parents Alvin and Vivian Berry, and his brother, Eddy Berry. He is survived by sister, Edith Cole, His children, Teresia and Steve Hulsey, children; Sarah Chaput, Savannah Pointer, and Micah Hulsey. Angelia and David Parker, children; Trey Parker, Julie Whisenant, and Matthew Parker. Alvin Berry, Dana and Bobby Davenport, their children, Eli and Jacob Dabbs. Cathy and Paul Wagoner, their children, Emily Fuqua, Kayla Wagoner, Bailey Wagoner and Abigail Wagoner as well as 17 great-grandchildren all of whom were blessed by his love and wisdom.

Pallbearers: Matthew Parker, Jacob Dabbs, Eli Dabbs, Tucker Whisenant, Gabriel Whisenant and Radley Whisenant 

Honorary Pallbearers: Trey Parker, Jared Whisenant, Micah Hulsey and Eric Chaput

He will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
