Jimmy Lynn Durham, 84, of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to celebrate his life. This service will begin at 1:00pm with Bro. Sherman Mayfield officiating. A United States Army Honor Guard will be in attendance.
Jimmy was born on January 9, 1941, in New London, Texas. Jimmy grew up in East Texas and was a graduate of Tyler High School. Jimmy was a proud Army veteran. Jimmy was part of the 82nd Airborne from 1959-1962 at Fort Bragg. Jimmy was a hard worker and served his country and family in many ways over the years. In addition to his service with the Army, Jimmy worked at GE, the United States Postal Service, and invented LocBloc. Jimmy enjoyed remodeling homes and bought and sold 28 houses over the years.
After retirement, Jimmy enjoyed traveling and RV’ing across the country. Jimmy has lived in Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. Jimmy always prided himself in living a very active life.
Jimmy is preceded by his father, Isaac James Durham Sr., mother, Pearl Dorothy Adams, stepmother, Dera Mae Johnson, sisters, Katherine Diviney, Mary Foughty, Etheline McRee, Doris Diviney, Shirley Poston, and Geraldine Fairchild, brothers, IJ Durham and Jesse Johnson.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 45 years, June Durham, daughter, Angelene McMonigal (Joseph), daughter, Cheryl Schacher, son, Stacy Durham (Shannon), stepson, Tim Griffin (Sandy), brother, Bill Johnson, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
