John Preston Byrd, 81, of Bullard, went to be with his Lord on the evening of June 30, 2024. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday at Hallsville Cemetery to begin at 3:30pm. A viewing will be held in the cemetery prior to the service to begin at 3:00pm. Pastor Craig Evers will officate the service.

John was born in Hallsville, Texas, October 12, 1942 - to parents J P and Tessa Byrd. John was a proud Navy Veteran, family man, and worker of the Railroad Industry.

John is preceded by his Father, J P Byrd, Mother, Tessa Byrd, Brother, Leonard Paul Byrd, Brother, Roy Quitman Byrd, Brother, Thomas Ray Byrd, Sister, Barbara Ann Nelson, Sister, Mildred Dean Shipwash, and Son, John Paul Byrd.

He is survived by his Wife, Jeanne Marie Byrd, Daughter, Sherry Holloway, Son, Gary Lee Byrd, Daughter, Linda Ann Byrnes, Daughter, Teresa Gail Evans, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren
