Jon E. Love, the son of Gerald and Helen (Clemenson) Love, was born November 16th , 1942 in Estherville, Iowa. Jon departed this life at Christus Mother Frances hospital in Tyler, TX. On April 13th ,2023, at the age of 80.
Jon grew up in Estherville and received his education in Estherville schools, graduated in 1960 and then attended Mankato State College.
On January 30th, 1971 Jon was united in marriage to Debi Snyder at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville.
During his early years Jon was a member of the Black Knights, he had many memories of his fast cars, riding motorcycles and participating in Hill Climbs and Motocross events in Iowa and Minnesota. After marriage Jon and his family spent much time together enjoying motorcycling, snowmobiling, and horseback riding. Jon and Debi farmed in the Estherville area until 1979. They then moved to Ft. Morgan, Colorado where Jon worked building Drilling rigs. In 1983 they moved to Trinidad, CO., where they started and ran a successful Oil Field Service business until they sold it in 2002 and moved to Palestine, TX.
Jon is survived by his wife, Debi, children, Terri (Kevin) Harvey, Bret (Lisa) Love. Grandchildren, Justin (Melissa) John, Kevette John, Brittany (Waylon) Goodnight, Brandon Love. Great grandchildren, Molly, Addie and Maddie John, Reign and Leilona Allen, Kenzie Harmon, Hazely and Corbin Goodnight. Siblings, Paul (Connie) Love, Carolynne (David) Smith. Brothers-in-law, David (Sue) Snyder, Dick (Darlene) Snyder and Dale (Chris) Snyder, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Jon in death are his parents Gerald and Helen Love, Father and Mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Snyder, grandparents, Chester and Emma (Grant) Love, Henry and Ollie (Hanke-Clemenson) DeWall.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
