Joshua Alan Ritch

Joshua Alan Ritch – 26 Bullard Texas February 7 1994 – May 10 2020 Donation – Bullard Boy Scout Troop 366 Joshua Alan Ritch, age 26 of Bullard passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 10 2020. Josh was born on February 7 1994 to Alan and Shelly Ritch of Bullard. Josh grew up in Bullard and graduated from Bullard High School in 2012 where he participated in football and theater. Josh was an Eagle Scout and a member of Troop 366 in Bullard from first grade, advancing ranks and being nominated for the Order of the Arrow, and then obtained his Eagle Scout rank at age 14. Josh continued being active in Scouts mentoring younger scouts and volunteering at numerous events and community projects. Josh attended Trinity Valley Community College after high school on a Theater scholarship. After college, Josh lived in Bullard and Tyler. He worked in the survey and oil field industry as a pipeline X-Ray technician. Josh was married to Elizabeth Perry on April 19, 2019. They attended Colonial Hills Baptist church in Tyler. Josh was known by all for his gift of making people laugh. He was the life of every party, class clown, king of improve and reciting any comedic movie. Josh never met a stranger and if you were, by the end of the night, you became a true friend. Josh was proud of his Irish heritage and would use any given opportunity to break out in an Irish song or dance. You rarely ever saw Josh not wearing some form of green shirt or hat and never without his 4 leaf clover necklace. He had a rare gift to spot a 4 leaf clover in a patch that most people would just walk by. He brought people happiness and made sure that you were included and genuinely cared for. He loved bonfires and any chance to get together and tell stories and jokes. Laughter was his gift – and it was infectious. Josh loved fiercely. His wife, his family, his friends. If Josh met you, then you became family. He was the friend to call with any need and he would be the first to make sure you were taken care of. Josh just wanted everyone around him to be happy and laugh. Josh was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and most importantly a friend to all. He loved without abandon or judgement. Josh loved the outdoors, camping, firearms, weight lifting and motorcycles. He will be severely missed by all who knew and loved him. Josh is preceded in death by his Pawpaw Jerry Ritch. Josh is survived by wife, Beth Ritch, parents Alan and Shelly Ritch of Bullard, Sister Kaylee and husband Alex Gonzalez and their two daughters Camila and Sofia of Bullard, Sister Sarah Ritch of Longview, Brother in law Daniel and wife Ali Perry of Tyler, Brother in law Billy Perry, Active United States Army and numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Tuesday, May 19 2020 at Boren Conner Funeral Home in Bullard.
