Joy Bolton Slover Allison

Joy was born March 23, 1938 in Rusk, TX to Dudley and Delia (Stanley) Bolton.
She went to be with her Lord on April 7, 2020 in Florence AL at the age of 82.

Joy was a former resident of Lufkin, Huntington and Rusk TX. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, later serving as a secretary for a church and a dental office.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents and husbands John Bill Slover and Victor N. Tex Allison.

Joy is survived by her brothers Derwin Bolton and wife Sandra of Jacksonville TX,  Cecil Bolton and wife Flodean of Pasadena TX, children Steve Slover and wife Kaye of Tuscumbia AL, LuAnne (Slover) Halbert and husband Gary of Springfield VA, step children Shirley (Allison) Reynolds and husband Steve of TX, Victor Allison and wife Joyce of TX, Grandchildren Natalie (Slover) Daniel and husband Austin of TX, Emily (Slover) Windsor and husband Tommy of TN, and John Slover and wife Jennifer of AL, Taylor (Halbert) McFarland  and husband Andrew of VA, Travis Halbert of NY, Step-grandchildren Chad Reynolds, LeAnn (Reynolds) Clements and husband Kelby, Christopher Reynolds, Randy (Allison) Boase and husband Chad, Lacretia (Allison) Owens, and husband Mike, Tracie (Allison) Pfitzinger and husband David. Great Grandchildren Timothy and Lydia Daniel and Wes and Alexandra McFarland.  Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

The family would also like to thank Alicia, Carol, Achaia, Talitha and Tina, Mom’s wonderful caregivers over the last 3 years, who made her life so much better.
