It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Boerio Baumann of Tyler, TX, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us on May 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 22, 1942, in Youngstown, OH, Kathleen lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends. She was a strong, generous and charitable person, always putting the needs of her family, friends and neighbors before her own. Kathleen always opened her doors to those in need and offered a place of shelter and support to countless people. Her unwavering support and nurturing spirit shaped the lives of those around her.

Kathleen was a lifelong Catholic and after a long career with Sears, she volunteered at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Faith Formation Program and the church Food Pantry.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Kathleen is survived by her six loving children: John Baumann and wife Lori of Royse City, TX: Judi Rotan of Garland, TX; James Baumann and wife Karyn of Mesquite, TX; Joyce Nichols and husband Byron of Jackson, MS: Jennifer Little and husband Mike of Aurora, CO; Jacqueline Baumann of Tyler, TX. They will forever carry her legacy in their hearts along with their competitiveness and love of card games. She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Matthew Baumann and partner Attilio Pronipote, Mark Baumann and wife Sarah, Mallori Baumann Hensley and husband Zach, Megan Baumann Poteet and husband Dalton, Joshua Rotan and wife Lena, Jacob Rotan and wife Ashley, Jasmine Rotan Gipson and husband Jeremy, Ashlea Machart Edwards and husband Jacob, Wilson Nichols, Jessica Little and Elizabeth Little and great grandchildren: Kason Rotan, Keegan Rotan, Jace Rotan, Reid Rotan, Lee Gipson, Korbin Gipson, Lillian Edwards, Madeline Edwards, Ezra Edwards, Olivia Hensley, Cameron Hensley, Parker Baumann and Margot Poteet.

Her life was a testament to the power of love and resilience. She faced life’s challenges with determination and courage. Her wisdom and generosity will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A funeral mass will be held on May 30th, at 1:00 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 950 Trails Parkway, Garland, TX 75043, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and the countless memories she leaves behind. A rosary will be said before mass. Rosary begins at 12:30.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to consider donations to The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701 www.hospiceofeasttexas.org where Kathleen received the most loving and compassionate care in her final days.

Rest in peace, Kathleen. Your love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
