Keith Avery Lane

Keith Avery Lane, 67, of Troup, went to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, May 2, 2025. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday afternoon, May 9, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, to begin at 2:00pm. Keith was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 14, 1957, to parents William and Mary Lane. Keith was a Software Engineer by trade and was proud to have obtained a Bachelors degree in computer science from Louisiana Tech University in 1982. His intellect and skill in computers and electronics were undeniable, building his first computer while still in high school.

Keith was a loving father, son, grandfather, and friend to many. Anyone who knew him knew that he had a deep love for his Savior, Jesus, and wanted everyone he encountered to know and love Him as well. He frequently talked about all the Lord has done for him, and credited Him for saving him from many life threatening experiences over his lifetime, beginning with being born prematurely and weighing only 3lbs. He spoke frequently of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and ability to work miracles.

Keith lived out his faith with radical altruism and generosity, giving to any that had a need without hesitation or thinking about himself. His kindness and gentle spirit were known to all in his life.

Keith was a talented musician and enjoyed playing piano and keyboard, at times using his talents to bless various ministries and churches over the course of his life. He even composed a handful of original songs.

Keith is preceded by his Father, William Allen Lane, IV and his Mother, Mary Etta Lane.

He is succeeded by his Son, Daniel James Lane, Daughter, Kayla Jewell and husband Shawn Jewell, Brother, Glen Lane, Grandson, Ezra Jewell, Close Friend, Lisa Lane, Cousin, Russell Carlisle, Nephew, Clayton Lane, and Niece, Angela Parker.

Please send floral contributions to Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard.
