Kevin Daniel Christoph

December 10, 1991 – February 18, 2026

Kevin Daniel Christoph, 34, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 18, 2026.

Born in Huntsville, Texas on December 10, 1991, to Christine and Elton Christoph. Kevin was raised in Grapeland, Texas, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and the East Texas outdoors he loved so much.

Kevin was what many would describe as a wild child — a small-town Evel Knievel at heart. He lived life full throttle, whether he was driving fast in whatever he happened to be behind the wheel of, building something mechanical from scratch, or heading into the woods with a fishing pole or rifle in hand. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and anything that let him breathe in the country air.

He was a mechanic by trade but truly a jack of all trades and master of many. If it was broken, Kevin could fix it — given enough time. He had a gift for understanding how things worked and the determination to see a job through.

Kevin is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Sterling Flynn; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane "Stanley" Flynn; paternal grandfather, Raymond Elton Christoph; paternal grandmother, Ernestene "Brent" Bennett; and his father, Elton Lee Christoph.

He is survived by his beloved fiancée, Sara Ringersma; his mother, Christine "Flynn" Christoph; his sisters, Amber Christoph, Holly "Christoph" Warren and her husband Terry Warren, and Ashley Christoph; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Genesis, Alejandro, Rylie, Josiah, and Ember, all of whom he loved deeply.

Kevin's life, though far too short by our measure, was not without purpose. In his passing, he gave the gift of life through organ donation — a final act of generosity that reflects the heart of a man who lived boldly and loved fiercely. Our faith tells us this separation is temporary. We trust that Kevin is restored and at peace, free from pain, and that Heaven is far greater than anything we could imagine. The day will come when tears are replaced with joy.

We stand firmly on the promise of Scripture:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38–39 (NIV)

A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on March 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM at The Cowboy Church of Houston County, 12328 US Highway 287 N, Grapeland, Texas.
