Mitchell "Mitch" Allan Bell, 66, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on September 19, 2026.

He was born on November 21, 1959, in Orange County, California, to the late Kenneth Junior Bell and Carolyn Mae McCracken.

A talented entrepreneur with a strong work ethic, Mitch poured his passion for sound and automotive craftsmanship into a lifelong career. He established his first successful business, Woody's Car Audio & Electronics, in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1983. In 1990, he opened Mitch's Car Audio in Tyler, Texas, building a staple of the local community that was known by virtually every local until its closure in 2017.

On August 31, 1989, Mitch married the love of his life, Lee Ann Bell, with whom he shared a devoted life and family.

Hilarious and adventurous, Mitch lived life with an infectious sense of humor and a deep love for the outdoors. He had a passion for classic cars, Jeeps, and four-wheel driving, and could often be found fishing or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Whether taking on a friendly game of ping-pong or lining up a shot at the pool table, Mitch brought laughter, warmth, and lively energy to every room he entered. He was loved by many and shared countless unforgettable memories with those fortunate enough to know him. With his passing, the world lost a true car audio legend.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lee Ann Bell; his children, David Lee Mortensen, Bianca Rachelle Bell, and Johnathon Mitchell Bell; his grandson, Luke Ryan Finch, and his other grandchildren; his brother, Jeffery Scott Bell; and his faithful dogs, Luka and Girl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Junior Bell and Carolyn Mae McCracken; his brother, Kenneth James Bell; and his cherished dogs, Jade, Bo and Lily.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home, 20 Florey Lake Rd, Kilgore, TX 75662, on Saturday, October 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
