Ann met the love of her life, Ronald Allen, at age 12, married at 19, and celebrated 64 wonderful years together last June 18th.  After marriage, they lived in Austin, Texas while Ron finished college. Upon graduation, they moved to Dallas, where they built a wonderful life and made many friends. In 1981, after working for years in the local elementary school as a building aide, Ann decided to go back to college. Ann earned both her BS and Masters in Special Education from East Texas State. She taught Special Education in Mesquite and then in Fort Bend County schools for many years.
