Nanette Newburn Woodall, 71, of Bullard, Texas went to be with our Lord on May 17, 2022. 

Nanette was born May 16, 1951 in Jacksonville, Texas, where she spent her early years attending Jacksonville ISD, enjoying family and friends.  After graduating from Jacksonville High School, Nanette went on to earn her Master's degree in Health and Physical Education.  After which she worked in education for many years in Bullard, Jacksonville and Mineola.  Students all over East Texas were blessed by her enthusiasm for life, her passion for people and her ability to make everyone around her feel like they were always the favorite.

In 2017 Nanette retired from education and focused her time on family, friends and her precious dogs.

Nanette is preceded in death by her mother Belle Newburn Albritton, her father Q.L. Newburn and her brother Michael Lynn Newburn.  She is survived by her daughter  Heather Crist, grandchildren Faith Crist and Foster Crist, and countless friends that were her family.  Nanette was known most as “Mama Nette” and “Coach Woodall”. 

We find comfort knowing Mama Nette was well-loved and will be well-remembered. 

A memorial service will be held in The Galilee Room at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, on June 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
