Graveside services for Nevillene Scogin of Bullard,Texas.are scheduled for 10 am Monday September 13 2021 at Mt. Comfort cemetery near Maydelle,Texas. Nevillene passed away September 8 2021 at home.  She was  born in Lufkin,Texas, to Hurtchel  and Valley Murphy.  She attended school at Hudson High School. She worked at several automobile dealerships in the Houston area doing office duties. She also worked for Harris County,Cherokee County and Rusk State Hospital. She also operated a child day care business in Jacksonville,Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents,her sister Irma Jean Kubena,her brother Joe Ted Murphy, and her husband Andrew J Scogin and his son Thurman Maurice Scogin.  She is survived by Andrew J Scogin Jr. and by  her daughters Pamela Martin,Sherry Christopher, and Michelle Bass, and her son Jeffrey Miller.  She has 6 grandchildren,6 great grandchildren,and 9 great great grandchildren.  She also has thousands of friends that are her family.  She loved and was loved by everyone.                                                                         

She was a member of the Bullard Southern Baptist Church.  She loved God with all her heart,all of her soul and all of her mind.  She loved her neighbor more than she loved herself.  She accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and was forgiven of all of her sins and has eternal life,love and peace in the presence of her heavenly father.
