Ollie Ruth(Sally)Davis went home to be with her Lord on Saturday April 11,2020 at the age of 90. Graveside services will be held at the Whitehouse Cemetery on April 16 at 2pm. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Bishop Matt Pool will be officiating the service. Honorary Pallbearers are Roger Stanton,Michael Pless, Gary McCoy,Joey Bell,Dwayne Bell,Travis Williams,and Randy McCoy.

Sally was born March 2,1930 in Whitehouse Tx. She was the second of eleven children. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Bonnie McCoy. Her husbands LP Mitchum and Vernon Davis and daughter Patricia Hill. Siblings-Bonnie and Johnny McCoy,Mary Nell,Patsy Smith,Bobby Fuller,Mamie Bell,and Jerry McCoy. She is survived by her two sisters Janet Stanton from Whitehouse Tx and Joann Pless from Arp Tx. Her son in law Charles Hill and granddaughter Christy Hill. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sally was godmother to Joey Bell,Dwayne Bell and Becky Elliott. She was a lifelong resident of Whitehouse and a devoted mother and caregiver. She was a member of the Whitehouse Church of God,and was a strong believer in her faith. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She had a heart of gold,and as big as Texas. She loved going to church and working in her yard when she was able to do so. One of her simple pleasures was drinking cokes,and eating chocolate chip cookies. She will be greatly missed and there will be a void in our lives,but she is receiving her reward for her faithfulness. We will forever cherish our memories of her and remember the time that we had with her. She fought the good fight,kept the faith,and finished her race,and she is now receiving her reward in heaven.
