Ray Sanders Stewart, 92, of Jacksonville, passed away early Sunday morning, October 18, 2026. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, to begin at 10:00am. A visitation will begin at 9:00am prior to the service. Interment will be a Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Maydelle. Kenneth O’Neal will officiate the service under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.

Ray was born in Campti, Texas, on November 19, 1933, to parents J.W. and Lonnie Stewart. Ray was a loving husband to his wife of 72 years. Ray was also a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Texas. Ray was a proud Navy veteran. After his service to his country – Ray worked as a Plant Manager in the Chemical department at Jetco. Ray was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.

Ray is preceded by his Father, J.W. Stewart, Mother, Lonnie Stewart, Son, Norman Lee Stewart, Brother, Darnell Stewart, Brother, Thomas Stewart, and Sister, Retha Ormand.

Ray is survived by his Wife, Nancy Stewart, Son, James Ray Stewart, Son, Paul Wesley Stewart (Maggie), Daughter-in-law, Sandra Stewart, Granddaughter, Christina Stewart, Granddaughter, Stephanie Smith (Ronnie), Granddaughter, Amanda Stewart, Granddaughter, Amy Ulmer (Leland), Grandson, Wesley Stewart (Crystal), Grandson, Dakota Stewart (Rebeca), 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Stewart, Dakota Stewart, Braeden Stewart, Leland Ulmer, Ronnie Smith, and Robert Guterrize.
