Robert Wallace McNiece, 92, of Jacksonville, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2026. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted in his honor on Tuesday morning, August 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Texas, to begin at 11:00am. Father Jay Lucas will officiate the service under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas following the service.

Robert was born in Houston, Texas, on January 10, 1934, to parents George and Gladys McNiece. Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. After honorably serving his country - Robert pursed University course work that enabled him to enjoy a long career as a Corrosion Engineer – utilizing this skill set to serve a very broad variety of industries throughout his life. Robert married the love of his life, Lynda, and together they created a beautiful life and family. Robert was never afraid of hard work – and was always proud of his family and their accomplishments. Robert loved his family dearly – and he will be missed by all.

Robert is preceded by his Wife, Lynda Beth McNiece, Father, George William McNiece, and Mother, Gladys Angelia McNiece.

Robert is survived by his Son, Robert George McNiece, Son, David Wallace McNiece, Son, Richard Ward McNiece (Kim), Daughter, Judy McNiece Hennessy Michael), 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and Brother & Sister In-law, Denny George (Nora).

Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Hennessy, Daniel Hennessy, Seth Hennessy, Clayton Henson, Conner Henson, and Kevin Stidham.
