Bullard, Texas
Robin Diane Davis McRae, 65, of Bullard, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A celebration of her life will be held at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard, Texas on August 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Robin was born September 19, 1959, in Austin, Texas, to Robbie Lee Wood Davis and Roy Dale Davis. She grew up with a vibrant spirit and a love for life that carried through everything she did. After graduating from Corona del Mar High School in 1977, she attended San Diego State University, was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1982.
Her early career took her into the fashion industry, where she worked for several companies before transitioning into technical sales. Robin’s entrepreneurial spirit shone when she became part-owner of Olston Temporary Services in East Texas, where she served the community for more than a decade. In 2008, she moved to Austin and found a new calling in education, focusing her talents and compassion on supporting special needs children—a role she cherished deeply.
In 2020, Robin and her beloved husband, Kip, returned to East Texas, where they enjoyed country life together. She was an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce and had a passion for “junking,” keeping antique booths in nearly every town she called home. She also adored animals, sharing her property with three donkeys, a flock of chickens, and numerous dogs over the years.
Robin had a warm heart, a quick smile, and a gift for making lasting friendships wherever she went. She treasured her family above all else and was happiest surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Robbie Lee Wood Davis; both sets of grandparents; her mother-in-law; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; and two nephews.
Robin is survived by her devoted husband, Kip; four daughters and sons in law; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her father and stepmother; her sister; her aunt; and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to cancer research at Texas Oncology or MD Anderson. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of East Texas for their compassionate care during Robin’s final days.
