Ronald Ray “Ron” Skinner was born on April 15, 1943, to the late Alfred and Wenona Skinner, and he peacefully joined Jesus in Heaven on May 19, 2026, at the age of 83. After beginning his life in Fort Worth, he stayed in East Texas and made Tyler his home in 1977. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Mothershed.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church South Campus, 1010 County Road 137 in Flint. Immediately following the memorial service, the family will receive friends and loved ones in the church foyer.

Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Skinner; daughter Ronda Mothershed; son Randy Skinner; grandchildren Ashley Cendejas, Taylor Stallings and wife Autumn, Haden Stallings and wife Libbie, Nate Skinner; great grandson Asher Stallings; and sister Judy Carroll and husband Ken; along with many relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Ron’s honor to Heart to Heart Hospice or Green Acres Baptist Church South Campus.
