Roy Norris Grimes passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the age of 63 due to Covid Pneumonia and End Stage Renal Disease. Roy was born in Mineola, Texas to Edward and Margery Grimes. On April 17, 1999, he was married to Lynn Blankenship.
Roy was a 3rd generation locomotive engineer, he worked for the railroad for over 30 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains of Colorado. He was a member of Hilltop Church of the Nazarene.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Edward Grimes and his biological father, Roy Gayle Curtis. Survivors include wife, Lynn; son Jared (Lisa); and step-daughters, Brandy LeePow (Sean) and Sherry Hammond (Chad). He was most proud of his nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Margery Grimes; sisters, Karen Webb and Dawn Grimes; and brother, Mark (Daphne); uncles, Jasper Curtis (Margaret), Johnny Norris (Oleta); and aunt, Eleanor Curtis. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
