Sadie Grace Dennard went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2025 in Tyler, Texas. She was 92 years old. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 24, 1932 to parents, Carl Arthur and Mary Margaret Maiorka.
Sadie moved to Tyler in the mid-sixties and then to Bullard in the early seventies. Upon moving to Bullard, she went to work in the high school cafeteria where she worked until her retirement in 1994. While there she was the life of the lunch line and made lasting positive impressions on the students she served.
Sadie made friends easily because she naturally loved people and she was loved by many. She loved her children and their families greatly and her greatest desire was for them to all be happy. While her children were at home, she worked hard to make sure they were well cared for, had good clothes on their backs, good meals in their bellies and a good roof over their heads.
When asked about her relationship with Jesus, she would quickly respond that she knew Him personally and prayed to Him every night for the good of her children and their families.
Among other talents, Sadie was a great cook. She learned a lot from her mother about Italian cooking while in Houston. And then, when she moved to East Texas, she became an expert at country cooking. Years ago, she wrote down all her Italian and country recipes in a notebook so that future generations could enjoy Mama D’s cooking.
Sadie was pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers, Joseph Carl Maiorka and Phillip Luke Maiorka.
Sadie is survived by her children; Marvin Henry Dennard III (wife Christi), Carla Renee Stephens, Mark Dewayne Dennard and Robert Louis Dennard (wife Stephanie).
