Salustia Cortez, 64, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning, October 22, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Texas, to begin at 11:00am. Interment will be at Bullard Memorial Cemetery in Bullard, Texas.

Salustia was born in Mexico on September 17, 1962, to parents Jose and Delta DeLeon. Salustia married the love of her life Martin Cortez and together they created a beautiful life and family. Salustia was a loving wife and homemaker.

Pallbearers will be Rigo Cortez, Emilio Cortez, Jaime Cortez, Agustin Cortez, Martin Cortez, and Manuel Cortez.
