Samuel Earl Smith, of Whitehouse, went home to his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on July 8,2026 at the age of 67.

He was born February 17, 1959, in Tyler, to Henry and Patsy Smith.

Sam, or Sammy, as he was affectionately called, was known for his corny jokes, outgoing personality and his big loving heart. He loved his children, grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews and fur babies. Especially his dog, Sweet Pea, who crossed the rainbow bridge just twelve hours before Sam.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Tina in 2021, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his four children. Jonathan and Stephanie Smith, Rhode Island, Kristal and Jay Morris, Bullard, Gerald "Bubba" and Jessica Todd, Bullard and Christian and Shawn White, Whitehouse. His sister, Margaret Warren, Whitehouse. His girlfriend, Cheryl Lauderdale, Chandler. Twelve grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:00am at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard. Private burial will be in Lindale City Cemetery in Lindale, Texas.
