Sarah Louise Stehr Davenport passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on August 23, 1938, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Julius Theodore Stehr and Olive Elizabeth Schultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cecelia Schuelar; and her beloved husband, Hershel Orior Davenport Sr.

Sarah is survived by her brother, Cecil Stehr; her children, Sarah Pierson, Cindy Long, Hershel Orior Davenport Jr., and Charles Edward Davenport; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and cherished beyond measure.

Sarah lived a full and meaningful life centered around family. She retired from Baxter and spent her years enjoying the simple moments that brought her the most happiness. She loved playing card games like rummy and Go Fish with her family, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be treasured forever. She also loved to bake, often bringing comfort and joy to those around her with the things she made. She had a special love for animals and found peace in spending time outdoors, especially going fishing.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence was a comfort, her laughter a gift, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
