Sharon Kay McGuffey, of Tyler, Texas, passed away Friday September 04, 2026 surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Sugar Baby. Born in Tyler, Texas, Sharon was a lifelong East Texas resident and a proud 1978 graduate of Whitehouse High School.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Lou Ann Glover, father Curtis McGuffey, and brother Curtis McGuffey, Jr.

 She leaves behind her three daughters: Katie Eichblatt and son-in-law, Mitch, of Hewitt, Texas; Amber Dozier, of Chapel Hill, Texas; and Sabrina Strickland and son-in-law, Michael, of Bullard, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren.

 Sharon is also survived by her sister, Patty Smith, of Bullard, Texas; and brother Kyle Gregory, of Gatesville, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

 A celebration of life will be held Saturday September 12, 2026 2pm at Family Community Church located at 17833 US Hwy 69 South Tyler, TX 75703. Following will be a brief visitation for family and friends.

 In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to Hospice of East Texas or a charity of your choice in Sharon's remembrance.
