Sherry Jeffus Cotton went home to see her Lord and Savior August 15, 2024.
Sherry was born on May 1,1946 in Trinity, TX. to Lemuel Finon Jeffus and Nelma Chandler Jeffus.
Sherry grew up singing and playing the piano. She sang in church, school, weddings, funerals and many talent shows. She graduated high school from Palestine ISD.
Sherry was an extremely talented person. She sang, played the piano along with other instruments. She painted and was an amazing cook. She was a very smart businesswoman and was successful in opening and operating two businesses in her career. She owned Wood Masters for many years suppling wood products that she designed and created to many large companies across the U.S. along with her storefront suppling the local community. Sherry was able to get patents on many of her designs that she still has to this day. During this time she was featured in Country Woman Magazine and on the Joan Hallmark Channel 7 news special. Years later she opened Sherry's Gift Shop in downtown Palestine. She owned and operated her gift store for over 30 years. Along with having her gift store she had an Ebay Anchor store and shipped items across the U.S. and global.
Sherry was a very kind lady and took every opportunity to tell others about Jesus and how much He loves them. Sherry was a member of Southside Baptist Church located in Palestine, Tx. From 2009 - 2020 Sherry and her husband PW ministered to the residents of Cartmell Home now Legacy, holding church services on Sunday mornings where they shared the word of God through preaching and music.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Person "PW" Cotton, her parents Lemuel "LF" and Nelma Jeffus, brothers Bradley Jeffus and Frank Jeffus.
Sherry is survived by daughter, Diana Stuffers and Richard, daughter Donna Mosley and husband Craig, son Gary Cotton and Cindy all of Palestine. Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Honoring her request there will be only a graveside held at Antioch Cemetery in Lovelady, TX. November 17, 2024. at 2:30 pm.
