Susan Marie Zear, 65, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2026.
Susan was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely. Her family was her greatest joy, and she spent her life making sure the people she loved knew just how much they meant to her.
To her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, she was lovingly known as Mimi—a name that will forever carry the warmth, love, and memories she gave them. Susan treasured this role and took great pride in it.
She had a love for plants and flowers, finding joy in caring for and watching things grow. Her green thumb was passed down from her father and became a hobby she shared with her sisters.
Susan is survived by her son, Justin Zear and his wife, Candice Zear; her daughter, Aleesha Grimes and her husband, Chance Grimes; her grandchildren, Austin Adams and his wife, Mackenzie Adams, Hunter Grimes, Rhyder Zear, and Reece Grimes; and her great-granddaughter, Peyton Adams.
She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Kirkpatrick and her husband, Don Kirkpatrick, and Linda Moore, as well as numerous nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Young and Raymond Young, and her brother-in-law, Stephen Moore.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as their beloved Mimi.
