Thomas Alvin Godwin, 83, of Winona, passed away at his residence on Thursday evening, May 29, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Starrville Cemetery, in Winona, to begin at 1:00pm. Military Honors will be presented at the service.

Thomas was born in Section, Alabama, on April 16, 1942, to parents Eugene and Kittie Godwin. Thomas was a Landscaper by trade - he was proud of his work - and proud to be able to care for his family using this talent. Thomas was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Thomas loved his family - and he will be truly missed.

Thomas is preceded by his Father, Eugene Godwin, Mother, Kittie Virginia Godwin, Brother, J.E. Godwin, Sister, Dorothy Dark, and Son-in-law, Bradley Michael Spriggs.

Thomas is survived by his Wife, Barbara Jean Godwin, Daughter, Erika Spriggs, Granddaughter, Chelsea Ethridge (Fernando Lemus), Grandson, Justin Bush (Elena Chippie), Grandson, Brendon Spriggs, Granddaughter, Maddie Spriggs, Brother, Julian Godwin, Brother, Jimmy Matlock, Co-Worker/Friend, Wolf Ray, Good Friend, Tony Cowart, Good Friend, Jose Peralta & Family, Becky & The "D's" coffee shop friends.
