Thomas (Tommy) Long passed away peacefully at Oak Brook Nursing Home in Whitehouse, TX on July 1st, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard, and sister Pam Padgett, all whom he loved dearly.
Tommy was born in Hollandale, MS to E.L. and Jamie Long on July 22, 1957. He graduated at Greenville Christian School in Greenville, MS in 1975.
Tommy was an avid Elvis fan and could sing all his songs. He loved trivia of any kind. He also loved watching old westerns and Andy Griffith. His favorite thing was to reminisce of growing up in Mississippi and he longed for days gone by.
He is survived by his siblings, Eddie (Peggy) Long of Batesville, MS, Anita (Tommy) Parkerson of Texarkana, TX, Jamie Long of Jacksonville, TX and Edie (Rodney) Ponder of Whitehouse, TX. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and dear friends who were very special to him.
Tommy had the ability to always make you laugh. May we hold his memory in our hearts forever.
