TOMMY D. “RUSTY” MOORE
Tommy D. “Rusty” Moore entered into the arms of Jesus on September 3, 2021, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas. Rusty was born on December 12, 1959, to Freddie and Evelyn Ruth (Rawlinson) Moore in Jacksonville, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of East Texas and grew up in Whitehouse.
Rusty worked for Goodyear Tire for many years, and he also held a diesel mechanics degree, He was a lifetime member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner.
Rusty loved his Lord, his family, his motorcycle family, and his many friends. Rusty was a mountain of a man; physically and in his heart and he protected and cared for so many, in many ways. He loved his motorcycle, the wind in his face, and the freedom it gave him.
Rusty was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom, Fred & Ruth Moore.
He is also survived by his son, Christopher A. Moore of Brownsboro, TX. His daughter Bridget Gammage & family of Tyler, 3 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Fredda Squiers (James Jennings) of Whitehouse and his brother Robert Mahaffey of Frankston, Rusty is also survived by his loving companion Sheila Jones and family of Tyler, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 3pm at Cross Brand Cowboy Church located at 11915 FM 2015, Tyler, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 2pm to 3pm at the church. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas in Tyler Texas. Floral Arrangements need to be delivered to the Cross Brand Church on Tuesday prior to the services.
