William Earl Young, of Palestine, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 73.

William was born on June 4, 1953, to Johnnie P. Young and Jessie Young. He made his home in Palestine, Texas, where he built a life centered around his family and the people he loved.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kava N. Young, who passed away on April 9, 2024. The life William and Kava shared together created a family whose love now reaches across several generations. Although they are both deeply missed, the family they built together remains a lasting testament to their lives and love.

William is survived by his children, William Eric Young, Timothy Earl Young, and Tasha Nikole Parnell.

He was a proud grandfather to William Lee Young, Koen Mitchell Young, Dylan Dale Bristow, Kaci Parnell, and Mckenzye Parnell, and a loving great-grandfather to Cole Warner, Elena Hall, Elijah Lee Young, and William Dewayne Young.

William leaves behind more than names on a family tree. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, lessons, laughter, and moments that his family will carry with them for years to come. His presence will be missed at family gatherings and in the everyday moments when those who loved him find themselves wishing they could hear his voice or share one more conversation with him.

Though saying goodbye is difficult, William's memory will continue to live through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and through every story told about the life he shared with Kava and the family they created together.

William Earl Young will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
