Willie Dale Denmon

Willie Dale Denmon (78) of Tyler, TX passed away on Saturday May 20, 2023.  Mr. Willie was born on October 19, 1944 to Marvin C. Denmon and Gladys Renois-Denmon of Shreveport, LA.  Willie served his country in the US Army from1963-1969, including assisting with Disaster Relief after Hurricane Camille.  Willie faithfully attended the Tyler Gospel Chapel for 46 years, Bro. Willie to most, Pop-A-Willie to a special few.  In 1981, Willie moved his young family to Tyler from Shreveport, LA to follow the leading of the Lord, as he knew with confidence that this was the way the Lord wanted him to go.  Mr. Willie worked in the Printing Industry for over 50 years, a Master of his craft, a leader among his peers and treasured by his employers.


Willie is survived by his Wife, Linda Faye Hamiter-Denmon, of 52 years; Son Eli Alexander Denmon (Michelle) of Tyler, TX; Daughter Gladys Clariece Denmon-Painter (Nathan) of Sherwood, AR; Sister Linda Gayle Hunter of Grand Cane, LA; Seven Grandchildren, Leanna Soest (Christopher), Arielle Collins, Joshua York, Clara Wallace (Matthew), Lila Painter, Natania Painter and Nethaniah Painter (Amanda Grace); Seven Great Grandchildren.


Willie is proceeded in death by his Son, Carl Wayne Denmon; Daughter LaTrisha Faye Denmon-York; Parents Marvin and Gladys Denmon; Brothers Marvin Curtis Jr. Denmon, James Walter Denmon; Sisters Mary Jane Scott, Georgia-Ann Robinson, Agness Mary Michelle


Willie often said, that he was born in a cottonfield and that his hobby was work. Willie worked hard to provide for his family and the many friends that needed a helping hand. He was always ready with a bag of tools, a pen in his shirt pocket and a witty reply.  Willie loved his family and his church family and they all loved him.  Willie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. 


A memorial service will be held at 11am, on Friday June 2, 2023, at the Tyler Gospel Church, 10195 TX-31, Tyler, TX 75705.


A special gratitude is expressed to the Family of God, at the Tyler Gospel Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests a love offering be made to the Tyler Gospel Chapel. 


Rest in peace Willie Dale, you're now in the Lord's eternal care.  "It seems to me Jesus, You're getting sweeter all the time."
